If boundaries feel exhausting, confusing, or shaky in your home, you’re not alone.
Many parents tell me things like:
- “I don’t want to control my child, but everything turns into a power struggle.”
- “I try to collaborate, but then I feel angry when my child doesn’t follow through.”
- “I don’t want to be harsh but I also don’t want to give up.”
- “Even with empathy and connection, boundaries still feel awful sometimes.”
This masterclass was created for that exact tension
because, in my understanding, there’s a core misunderstanding about boundaries that almost all of us weren't taught.
What This Masterclass Is (and Isn’t) About
This is not a class about:
- better boundary scripts
- saying things the “right” way
- getting your child to agree or cooperate
- convincing your child to understand
This class is about understanding the hidden mistake that turns boundaries into power struggles, even in thoughtful, connected homes.
Once you see it, boundaries stop feeling so personal, so activating, and so confusing.
I created this class because this was a piece of boundaries I haven’t seen articulated anywhere else.
It came from paying close attention to where boundaries repeatedly broke down - both in more gentle approaches that struggled with follow-through and in more traditional approaches that relied on consequences and pressure.
Recognizing this distinction brought a kind of clarity I hadn’t experienced before, and it’s what this masterclass is built around.
The Core Insight
In my experience, most boundary struggles don’t happen because parents are too strict or too permissive.
They happen because we’re trying to get our child to make a choice that actually belongs to us.
And when we do that:
- collaboration backfires
- empathy doesn’t support us
- agreements feel fragile
- parents feel resentful, powerless, or stuck
This masterclass is designed to bring clarity to these moments.
What You’ll Learn
Session 1: Where My Power Lies
Monday, February 16 8:30 PM EST
This session is about getting very clear on what is and isn’t actually within your power as a parent.
We’ll explore:
- What parents do not have power over and why trying to control it creates so much distress
- How many parenting approaches unintentionally reinforce the illusion of control
- Why coming to terms with real limits can feel unsettling and also deeply relieving
We’ll walk through everyday examples (leaving the park, seatbelts, screens, transitions) and orient around one foundational shift.
Session 2: Boundaries in Action
Monday, February 23 8:30 PM EST
Once we understand where our power lies, the next question becomes:
Who is actually responsible for what in this moment?
In this session, we’ll explore:
- The difference between responsibility that stays with the adult and responsibility that can be shared
- Why collaboration often goes wrong when responsibility is handed over too soon
- How to think in terms of capacity rather than age or ideals
- How to stay connected and care for important needs without expecting a child to carry something they can’t yet hold
We’ll walk through real scenarios with:
- toddlers
- school-aged kids
- teens
And make sense of why some boundaries feel steady, while others keep falling apart

- You don’t want to control your child but don’t want to give up either

What if I can’t join live?
Will this be available for purchase later?
Is this for mothers only?
My child is older. Is this still relevant?
I never took any of your other classes. Do I need the background or can this be understood on its own?
This isn’t a class that promises perfect boundaries or easy moments.
To me, it offers something steadier:
clarity, relief, and a way to stop fighting reality.
Parents tell me that simply understanding this shift profoundly changed how they experience boundaries
If boundaries feel like a constant inner (and outer) tug-of-war, I’d love to have you there!
